NAF TO DEPLOY QUICK RESPONSES WING TO NORTH WEST deploy quick response wing to North-West

The Chief of Air Staff, Hasan Abubakar, has disclosed plans to deploy a Quick Response Wing to the Northwest region of the country to enhance military presence in vulnerable communities.A Quick Response Wing in the Air Force refers to troops on standby, ready to respond to emergencies.Abubakar, according to a statement on Tuesday by the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, Group Captain Kabiru Ali, made this disclosure during an operational tour of the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI and the 213 Forward Operating Base in Katsina State.

He revealed that “The NAF has intensified airstrikes against criminal elements in the North-West and is working to deploy a Quick Response Wing to increase military presence in vulnerable communities.“He stressed the need for a comprehensive strategy to achieve lasting peace, noting that kinetic actions alone cannot eliminate insurgency.”Ali added that Abubakar also assured the state governor, Diko Radda, that his men would continue to protect farmers in the state.

He said, “The CAS highlighted the significant progress made in securing the State, noting that the recent planting season was largely free from interference by bandits, a feat attributed to the Governor’s robust security measures.“The CAS assured Governor Radda of the NAF’s continued support in protecting farmers during the upcoming harvest season, emphasizing the importance of safe and productive agricultural activities to the Katsina State economy.

Governor Radda expressed confidence that the efforts to protect farmers and the increased military presence in high-risk areas would ensure a safe environment for the next harvest season. He lauded the NAF’s “commitment to enhancing security in the region and pledged continued collaboration with the military to safeguard the lives and livelihoods of the people of Katsina State.”

The governor also expressed optimism that the planned farmer’s protection operations and increased military presence in vulnerable areas would foster a more secure environment for the upcoming harvest season.
