1. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned after a two-week working vacation in the United Kingdom (UK).Tinubu, who arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, around 7:20 p.m., was received by senior members of the administration.

The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM) has declared the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of all 23 local government chairmanship and 255 councilorship seats in the local government elections across the state on Saturday.3. The Principal of Abuja Rehabilitation Center, Bala Tsoho Musa, has been killed by a yet-to-be-identified assailant. It was reported on Saturday that Musa, popularly referred to as “comrade,” was found dead on Friday night inside the center, located in Kuchiko, a community in Bwari Area Council of Abuja.
4. Governor Umar A. Namadi of Jigawa State has approved the immediate suspension of Auwalu Dalladi Sankara as Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Special Duties, and as a member of the State Executive Council, pending an investigation into allegations made by the Kano State Hisbah.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
5. A yet-to-be-identified Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) serving in the Lagos State Police Command has been killed. The tragic incident happened in the Agege area of the state on Saturday morning.

8. The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has threatened to shut down the nation’s ports over the non-payment of nine months of salaries owed to its members employed by the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).
The union called on the federal government to intervene and ensure the payment of the salary arrears without further delay to avoid an industrial crisis.
